A Star is Born!

Baby Levi surprised his mama by arriving early to the party.  This sweet little shooting star has already added immeasurable light and love to his family.

In addition to this newborn gift box for the family, my customer also ordered several dozen cookie bites for all of Levi's adoring fans to snack on.

I packaged them up sweet and off to the hospital they went!

Save the Date

I love weddings!  What better way to tell people about your special day than with cookies.
My customer asked me to make "Save the Date" decorated sugar cookies for a bridal shower based on this design by Flour Pot Cookies

I have never decorated with silver icing before, so this was really fun.
The silver cookie actually started out just like the white cookie, but then I sprayed it with this silver lustre spray from Wilton.  It did not change the taste of the cookie and looked fabulous.

These cookies went home with the bridal shower guests as party favors.

You could also serve these cookies at your engagement party
and mail them to your out of town wedding guests.

The Ladies Who Lunch

My mom was having a few guests over for a luncheon
and asked me if I could make something sweet for them.
I thought it would be fun to use decorated sugar cookies as place cards on the table.

My mom collects china like I collect shoes, so I knew she was going to make it fancy.
She was planning to use this classic china, Old Country Roses from Royal Albert.
So, I added some burgundy and yellow roses to the cookies to match her place settings.  These swirl roses were simple to make.  I followed this tutorial from Sweet Sugar Belle.

With the party favor topper folded over to create a "tent,"
the place card decorated sugar cookies stand up nicely on their own.

It's a Pop Fly: Baseball Cookie Pops

My nephew's baseball team was hosting a dinner fundraiser and my sister needed a little something to complete the table centerpieces for the event.  So, we decided that decorated sugar cookie pops would be the perfect addition.

We chose baseballs, of course, and I designed this baseball cap based on the team logo.

The cookies got the package treatment and were ready to go into the table centerpieces, which were also for sale as part of the fundraiser.

Answer to Prayer

Today was a beautiful day!
Actually, the weather was rainy and dreary in St. Louis, but my day was filled with hope and love.  Today I celebrated a precious child.  A good friend of mine has been praying for a baby for over six years and is now expecting a baby girl.  We showered this expectant mama with sweet baby gifts and tons of unsolicited advice.

The baby shower hostess asked me to create a decorated sugar cookie to match the theme of the tableware.  I thought that the words, "for this Child we prayed," fit the occasion perfectly.

The cookies went home with the shower guests as party favors.
So, I actually received one of my own cookies as a gift! was delicious!

You've Got the Cutest Little Baby Face

Aren't these babies sweet?!  My customer asked me to make these baby face decorated sugar cookies for a baby shower she was hosting.

She requested the faces based on this design from Taija at Sweet Shoppe, but matching her theme of dark pink and black.

The babies went home with the baby shower guests as party favors.

The expecting mama and her family received this special gift box, as well.

Are You Ready for Some Football?!

It's Super Bowl time!  These two quarterback jerseys are ready to face off.
My son's school is hosting a silent auction and I donated these football decorated sugar cookies to add to a Super Bowl Basket.  I love this idea of using sprinkles for the crowd.

A box of cookies like this would make a great host gift
when you are invited to view a game on any given Sunday.
