All American Baby

My customer was hosting a baby shower and requested decorated sugar cookies to coordinate
with her "All American Baby" theme.  She sent me a photo from The Baked Equation
and asked me to create something similar to celebrate little baby Milo.

I decided to create the monogram plaque cookies, the star cookies and the onesie cookies.

They turned out just darling and looked yummy on a platter at the baby shower!

Cool Treats!

Cool treats to beat the summer heat!  These sno-cone and watermelon slice
decorated sugar cookies are just as sweet as the real thing.

My customer wanted to give a thank you gift to her summer camp volunteers and asked me to make whatever design of sugar cookies that I wanted.  I love it when I get to surprise people!

Since the kids (and volunteers) at the summer camp consume enormous amounts of sno-cones and watermelon slices, I thought that these cookies would be perfect.  I added colored sanding sugar to the top of the sno-cone decorated cookies to make them sparkle and crunch, just like ice.

Each volunteer received their own gift bag with one of each cookie.

Summertime!

Summertime is here!
School is finally out!  We decided to do something different for end of year gifts
for our teachers this year.  Instead of the traditional school themed decorated sugar cookies,
we thought that a summer time theme would really brighten their day.

I made these sunshine decorated sugar cookies using a flower cookie cutter
for my little guy's preschool teachers.

My 3rd grader made a bunch of this design all by himself for his teachers, as well.
I think that he did an awesome job!

For my kindergartener's teachers, I created this picnic blanket design,
which was inspired by these cookies from Munchkin Munchies.
I used lustre spray, just like I did for these Wizard of Oz decorated sugar cookies.
It creates a more watercolor type effect that I think is really fun.

There are always lots of teachers to thank and a cookie seems like the sweetest little gift.

Have a Nice Day!

Aren't these cookies happy?!  They make a sweet little gift to show your appreciation.
I made these smiley decorated sugar cookies to say a big "thank you" to our neighbors.

We have the best neighbors!  The weather has finally gotten warm here, but when we turned on our air conditioner, it was not working properly.  So, I called our neighbors for a repair company recommendation.  They have lived in their home since our neighborhood was built over 50 years ago.  Not only did he give me a recommendation, but he offered to come take a look before I scheduled a repairman.  He fixed our air conditioner himself, including driving to the store to get the proper part.  Who knew that he was a licensed refrigeration/HVAC repairman?!  Although, it makes sense after all those years of owning his own bakery.

It is so nice to have such wonderful neighbors!

May the Force Be With You!

My customer requested Star Wars decorated sugar cookies to give as favors to the guests at her son's birthday party.  I presented her with several ideas and her son liked these best.
Inspiration for these designs came from Sugar Kissed.

The birthday boy wanted his cookies decorated with Yoda, R2D2 and light sabers.
These light sabers are covered in sanding sugar to make them extra sparkly.

I packaged each cookie individually for the guests to take home.

Happy 7th Birthday, Max!

Yummy Cupcakes

Yummy cupcakes for a 10 year old girl's birthday party.
My customer requested that the cupcakes be nut free as some of the party guests had allergies.
We chose a vanilla flavored cake and vanilla butter cream icing in bright purple and aqua.
I added some clear sanding sugar to the tops and make them sparkle.

Happy Birthday, Grace!

Let's Dance!

My customer requested personalized decorated sugar cookies
for her daughters to give as gifts to the girls in their dance classes.
She gave me a list of names and asked me to create whatever design I would like.

I love that!

I was inspired by this design from Katie's Something Sweet.
I love this sophisticated color scheme.  The grey background allows the
pink ballet slippers to pop and the sanding sugar adds a bit of whimsy.

We included cookies for the teachers, as well, and packaged them up for each girl to take home.

Spot of Tea?

My customer was planning a tea party birthday for her daughter
and wanted some sweet decorated sugar cookies to enhance the celebration.

She sent me these photos of this tea set that she purchased for her daughter
and the party guests to enjoy.  So, I planned my design to match!

This simple tea cup design with
pink polka dots allows room
to personalize each cookie
with the party guests' names.

The pink cupcakes with dark pink polka dots coordinate with the tea cups.
The swirly white icing looks
fluffy and delicious.

The cupcake decorated cookies were enjoyed at the party
and the tea cup cookies went home with the guests as party favors.

Happy Birthday, Annabelle!
