Meet the Artist

                                                          

Shannon Patten is a self-taught home baker who specializes in decorating sugar cookies with royal icing. Shannon spent her corporate career days as a women's clothing buyer for a major department store. When the buying office closed in 2008, she and her husband decided that she would stay home with their 2 preschool boys. As a stay at home mom, she was definitely able to put her Psychology degree to good use.                                                                                

Shannon decorated her first cookies with royal icing for her son’s birthday party in 2012 and she has been hooked ever since. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into a business. Family and friends requested her delicious and beautiful cookies for their special events and word spread. While Shannon no longer sells custom cookies, she has been teaching cookie decorating classes since 2017.  She found a new passion in sharing her years of experience and has taught thousands of students the art of Cookie Decorating. Shannon Patten lives in St. Louis, Missouri with her husband and their 4 boys.
